State-owned postal company Magyar Posta has cancelled plans to build a HUF 6 billion mail processing centre in Gödöllő, near Budapest, because of a fall in postal volume, business daily Napi Gazdaság reported on Wednesday.
Growth in postal turnover has come to a halt in Hungary, as it has in the rest of Europe, Magyar Posta spokesperson Marianna Huse told the paper.
Magyar Posta's processing centre in Budaörs, on the outskirts of Budapest, has enough capacity to serve the whole country at present, the paper said. (MTI Econews)
