Magyar Posta is starting a new service in cooperation with Vodafone Magyarország, selling handies and mobile access with pre-paid cards through Vodafone's network in regions of Hungary where no mobile companies have sales points.
Almost 800 Magyar Posta offices and sales points will sell phones beginning on Friday, MTI learned on Wednesday. Magyar Posta and Vodafone are targeting those people who could not otherwise acquire access to mobile service.
The basic price will be between HUF 30-HUF 35 per minute, closer to 30, MTI learned.
A formal press conference will be held in Friday, Magyar Posta told MTI.
Earlier attempts by other companies to introduce virtual mobile services in Hungary led nowhere because service providers were reluctant to lease their networks, analysts add. (MTI-Econews)
