Liszt Ferenc Airport's Skycourt opens

Liszt Ferenc Airport opened its new building which links terminals 2A and 2B on Sunday. Skycourt, was first used by the passengers of Malév’s scheduled flight London, MTI wrote.

According to Mihály Hardy, communication manager of Budapest Airport Zrt, the passengers were satisfied with the building, there were no problems related to the opening.

Skycourt – which doubles the commercial area of the terminals and provides a wide range of retail outlets – significantly increases the capacity of Terminal 2, from 4.5 – 5 million to 8.5 million passengers per year. Passenger traffic at the airport will be able to reach as much as 20 million passengers per year after the further extension of the SkyCourt, according to data of Budapest Airport.

The renovation of terminals 2A and 2B will start in April, and is scheduled to be finished by this fall, Hardy added.
