Lindab to shut down Hungary plant

Swedish building materials maker Lindab will shut down its plant in the Hungarian city of Nyíregyháza because of the contraction on the construction market in Central and Eastern Europe, operating manager Gordon Pringle told MTI on Monday.

The plant will be shut down at the end of July, affecting 110 staff, Pringle said. The company will keep open its engineering and sales offices in Nyíregyháza and Biatorbágy, he added.

Lindab's unit in the Czech Republic will continue to supply markets in the region. (MTI-ECONEWS)
