The city of Kecskemét, south of Budapest, plans to build an €83 million historical theme park recreating the most important moments of Hungary's past, Bács-Kiskun County council chairman Gábor Banyai said.
Work on the park will start in 2011 and it is expected to be completed by the middle of 2013, Banyai said. The park is being modeled on France's Puy du Fou historical theme park, he added.
Philippe de Villiers, who established Puy du Fou in 1978 and is now the chairman of the Vendee County council as well as an MEP, promised his personal support for the planned park in Kecskemet at a joint press conference with Banyai. (MTI - Econews)
