The Hungarian Investment and Trade Development Agency has been named runner-up at the World Trade Promotion Organization’s trade promotion organization network awards, ITD Hungary told MTI.
ITD Hungary, which won the acknowledgment for a program supporting SMEs, was second in the developed country category after the UK's TPO.
The awards “recognize excellence in trade support services and celebrate TPOs that demonstrate outstanding performance in the use of innovative and efficient processes and systems in their export development initiatives”.
ITD Hungary will be transformed from a company into a an office overseen by the National Economy Ministry from January 1, the ministry told MTI on Thursday. The National Foreign Economic Relations Office will be smaller, more cost efficient and more transparent while carrying out the full scope of tasks now undertaken by ITD Hungary, the ministry said.
