Italian-owned FARMOL Hungary Kft has built a HUF 1 billion plant at the industrial park of Nyirbator (NE Hungary) to make and fill aerosol bottles, FARMOL Hungary CFO Janos Jobbagy told MTI.
CFO Janos Jobbagy told MTI that trial production with 49 workers has started at the 6,300sqm factory. The number of employees will rise to 67 when full-scale operation begins at the end of this month or the beginning of May.
FARMOL received close to HUF 400m in European Union and Hungarian central budget funding for construction of the plant.
Germany's Schwarzkopf and Henkel have already tied down the bulk of this year's production capacity with an order for 19m aerosol bottles, Jobbagy said.
Another multinational firm, Unilever, which has a household chemicals factory in Nyirbator, is also interested in the company's products, Jobbagy added.
