ING Group's Hungarian branch withdraws from Hungarian Banking Association

The Hungarian branch of the Amsterdam-based ING Group, ING Bank NV Magyarországi Fióktelepe, withdrew from the Hungarian Banking Association on January 1, 2011, the association told MTI on Thursday morning, confirming a report in daily newspaper Magyar Hírlap.

The ING Bank branch did not give a reason for the move. Magyar Hírlap learnt that the branch left the Hungarian Banking Association because “it considered the organization's ability to represent the interests [of Hungary's banking sector] weak”. (MTI-Econews)
