National Development Minister Tamás Fellegi’s former company Infocenter.hu will not buy IKO Media Holding, online news portal Index reported. IKO holds an indirect 31% stake in M-RTL, the operator of commercial television channel RTL Klub. Competition office GVH has approved Infocenter’s purchase intention but the parties could not agree on the details. According to Index, the company has not abandoned its plan to gain interest in RTL Klub and plans further acquisitions for the time being. Still, Infocenter is a significant player of the Hungarian media scene, it owns weekly Heti Válasz and radio channel ClassFM.
