A fire that broke out in a warehouse of the Ikarus industrial park in Budapest's District 16 at noon on Wednesday has been extinguished, Index.hu reported. The flames had spread over an 800 square-meter area near Örs Vezér tér in an industrial estate that occupies 110,000 square meters. No one was injured as a result of the fire, which was rated 4 on a scale of 5 by the fire services, spokesman Péter Molnár said. Hundreds of fire fighters were summoned to the building, where the roof was burning after its insulation caught fire. The industrial park, which once housed the famous Ikarus bus factory, is owned by Brack Capital Real Estate and among the companies now renting a space inside are vehicle manufacturers Ganz Transelektro, Ikarusbus and NABI.
