Imre Kovács named CEO of MÁV Cargo

Imre Kovács has been appointed the new CEO of Hungarian rail freight company MÁV Cargo, the company's owner, Austria's OBB Holding, said on Wednesday.

Kovács, who is now MÁV Cargo deputy director in charge of sales and operations, will replace László Atol from July 1, the company said in an announcement published by the Austrian Press Agency.

State-owned Hungarian railway company MÁV sold its freight unit to Rail Cargo Austria in January 2008. The sale was approved by the European Commission in November. (MTI-ECONEWS)
