The number of mobile phone subscriptions in Hungary fell close to 53,000 to 11.938 million in February, the National Media and Telecommunications Authority (NMHH) said late on Wednesday.
The number of active mobile phone subscriptions – numbers that were called or from which calls were made in the previous three months – fell around 1,000 to 11.020 million.
Market penetration inched down to 119.6 per hundred people in February 2011 from 120 in January. One year earlier, this figure was 118.7.
T-Mobile's market share based on the total number of subscriptions rose to 43.65% in February from 43.39% in January, Vodafone's increased to 22.42% from 22.39%, while Telenor's fell to 33.93% from 34.22%.
Based on subscriptions generating turnover, Vodafone's market share fell to 22.72% from 22.77%, while Telenor's market rose to 32.45% from 32.42% and T-Mobile's increased to 44.83% from 44.81%.
