Representatives of communities and organizations in Hungary and Romania on Thursday launched a cross-border cooperation program aimed at developing fruit and vegetable farming technology supported with €1.5 million in EU funding.
The town of Jimbolia, Romania, will build a 1,800sqm greenhouse as part of the program.
In Kistelek, Hungary, a €300,000 farm education centre will be built.
The Hungarian town of Maroslele will build a HUF 60 million oil press and nearby Mórahalom will buy €147,000 of farm machinery and equipment.
