Online sales in Hungary, excluding sales of tourism services and insurance, is estimated to have climbed over HUF 135 billion in 2010, up from HUF 99 billion in 2009, according to a joint survey by GKIeNET and T-Mobile.
About 1.5% of the online purchases were made with a smart phone. Smart phones now account for about 1.5 million of the 10 million mobile phones in Hungary and one in three handsets bought during the holidays was a smart phone.
Between 1.2 million and 1.4 million Hungarians shopped online for products or services last year. (MTI Econews)
