Hungary online ad market grows 16% in 2010

Spending on online advertising in Hungary reached HUF 27.2 billion in 2010, 16% more than in the previous year, Internet Advertising Board (IAB) Hungary chairman Péter Novák said.

Spending on internet display ads, such as banners, climbed 7% to HUF 14.8 billion. Spending on search engine ads jumped 44% to HUF 7.5 billion. Mobile advertising spending came to HUF 500 million.

Online advertising accounted for 15.9% of all spending on advertising last year, Novák said.

IAB Hungary has no projection for online advertising in 2011.
