The number of new cars sold in Hungary fell 27.9% to 48,823 in 2010, automotive industry researcher Jato Dynamics reported.
The drop followed a 60.6% decline in 2009, earlier information shows.
The number of new cars sold in Hungary fell 9.75% yr/yr to 3,935 in December, Jato noted.
New car sales in Europe as a whole were down 3.8% in December and fell 4.7% in the year as a whole. (MTI – Econews)
Agreement on Hungarian-Slovak gas-pipeline connection could be signed this month
Prime Minister Viktor Orbán could sign an agreement to directly connect the gas-pipeline networks in Hungary and Slovakia as early as this month, National Development Ministry state secretary János Bencsik said.
The state secretary noted that a gas pipeline between Hungary and Croatia would soon be completed, adding that a similar connection was built between Hungary and Romania. (MTI – Econews)
