The number of mobile phone subscriptions in Hungary fell close to 45,000 to 11.893 million in March, the National Media and Telecommunications Authority (NMHH) said.
The number of active mobile phone subscriptions - numbers that were called or from which calls were made in the previous three months - fell 56,000 to 10.964 million during the month.
Market penetration inched down to 119.1 per hundred people in March 2011 from 119.6 in February. One year earlier this figure was 118.7.
T-Mobile's market share based on the total number of subscriptions rose to 43.81% in March from 43.39% in February and Vodafone's increased to 22.52% from 22.42%, while Telenor's fell to 33.67% from 33.93%.
Based on subscriptions generating turnover, Vodafone's market share remained unchanged at 22.72% in March, while T-Mobile's market share increased to 44.92% from 44.83% and Telenor's fell to 32.36% from 32.45%.
