The number of mobile phone subscriptions in Hungary fell 68,000 to 11,704,000 in June from the previous month, the National Media and Infocommunications Authority (NMHH) said on Friday.
The number of active mobile phone subscriptions ─ numbers that were called or from which calls were made in the previous three months ─ rose 12,000 to reach 10,959,000 during the month.
Market penetration inched down to 117.4 per hundred people in June from 118 in May.
T-Mobile's market share, based on the total number of subscriptions, rose to 44.50% in June from 44.28% a month earlier, Vodafone's grew to 22.59% from 22.49% and Telenor's fell to 32.90% from 33.23%.
Based on the number of active subscriptions, the three service providers' market shares remained almost unchanged in June, Vodafone's was unchanged at 22.62%, Telenor's at 32.27%, and T-Mobile's at 45.11%.
