The number of mobile internet subscriptions in Hungary rose 49,000 in August to 1,137,000, the National Media and Telecommunications Agency (NMHH) said.
The number of active mobile internet subscribers – those who used the service at some time during the previous three months – climbed 34,000 to 885,000 at the end of August from a month earlier.
Mobile internet subscribers transferred 1,197,000 gigabytes of data in August, up from 1,180,000 in July.
Vodafone's market share in terms of subscriber numbers rose to 24.87% in August from 24.19% in July and Telenor's market share grew to 28.14% from 28.01%, while T-Mobile's dropped to 46.99% from 47.80%.
In terms of the number of active subscribers, Vodafone's market share grew to 26.55% from 25.60%, Telenor's dropped to 24.97% from 25.18% and T-Mobile's market share declined to 48.49% from 49.22%.
Data turnover per subscriber of Telenor was unchanged at 1.55 gigabytes, turnover per subscriber at Vodafone fell to 1.41 gigabytes from 1.56 gigabytes, but rose to 1.22 gigabytes from 1.21 gigabytes for T-Mobile. (MTI-Econews)
