Hungary is expected to become the third European Union member that can export meat to Vietnam, state secretary in charge of farm affairs at the Rural Development Ministry György Czerván told MTI on Tuesday, after returning from a trip Vietnam and Laos.
Hungary could start exporting meat to Vietnam in just a few weeks based on talks that took place last week, Czerván said. Vietnam only allows imports of meat and meat products based on bilateral agreements, he added.
While in Laos, Czerván inaugurated a feed plant with an annual capacity of 4,000 tons built with $2.2 million from an aid loan from Hungary. (MTI-Econews)
