The number of broadband ADSL and cable subscriptions in Hungary rose 8,000 to 1,967,000 in March from the previous month, the National Media and Telecommunications Authority (NMHH) said on Wednesday.
The number of broadband ADSL lines fell to 803,000 in March from 804,000 in February, while the number of broadband cable subscriptions rose 6,000 to 765,000 in March. The number of optical cable subscriptions reached 228,000 at the end of March.
The number of landline telephone connections rose to 2,953,000 in March. The number of conventional landline telephone connections fell 23,000 to 2.219 million, the number of voice over cable television connections rose 9,000 to 628,000 in February, while the number of voice over internet protocol connections rose 1,000 to 105,000.
The number of landlines per hundred people was 29.58% in March.
