Hungary broadband ADSL, cable subscription number rises, land lines shrink in June

The number of broadband ADSL and cable subscriptions in Hungary rose 21,000 to 1,850,000 in June from the previous month, the National Communications Authority (NHH) said on Tuesday.

The number of broadband ADSL lines fell by 1,000 to 800,000, while the number of broadband cable subscriptions rose by 22,000 to 1,050,000. Hungary landline number falls to 2,483,000 in June.

The number of conventional landline telephone connections in Hungary fell by 19,000 to 2,483,000 in June from the previous month, the NHH said.

The number of land lines per hundred people slipped to 30.06 from 31.03 one year earlier.

Total duration of calls initiated was 440m minutes in June, about 8m fewer than in May. The total duration of initiated calls per landline fell to 146.2 minutes from 148.8 minutes. The average duration per call was 3.08 minutes. (MTI-Econews)
