Hungary broadband access good, but existing infrastructure underused

Broadband access in Hungary is good compared to the European Union average, but the country could make better use of existing infrastructure, Khalil Rouhana, director for digital content and cognitive systems in the EU’s DG INFSO, said at a conference in Balatonfured on Tuesday.

Hungary is still behind the EU as a whole in the areas of e-public services, digital convergence and the establishment of a unified digital market, Mr Rouhana said at the Infoter conference for IT and society.
