Hungary & Poland: Hupac shuttle trains

At the international trade fair transport logistic held in Munich from 12 to 15 June 2007, the Swiss combined transport operator Hupac presents numerous new products for rail freight transport.

The main novelties are the extension of the Shuttle Net to France, the introduction of new connections to North-Eastern Italy and the strengthening of the offer to Poland, Austria and Hungary. An important novelty for the Scandinavia-Italy traffic is the connection between Novara and Lübeck, the doorway to Scandinavia and the Baltic Countries, for 4-metres-semi-trailers P400.

A further focus of Hupac’s network development is on the hinterland connections from the large European harbors. The link between Antwerp, Schwarzheide and Poland was strengthened to five departures per week and direction in April 2007. Also new is the traffic axis between Rotterdam, Duisburg, Austria and Hungary with four weekly departures between Duisburg and Budapest and five weekly departures between Duisburg and Wien as well as connections to Krems and Enns.
