Hungaroring, Magyar Turizmus sign cooperation agreement

Race track operator Hungaroring Sport and state tourism agency Magyar Turizmus on Friday signed a cooperation agreement on strengthening the effect of sporting events on tourism.

The agreement, signed by Hungaroring Sport chairman-CEO Zsolt Gyulay and Magyar Turizmus CEO Gergely Horváth, aims to raise the profile of tourist destinations in Hungary, boosting the number of foreign and domestic visitors as well as revenue. The two parties will coordinate targeted marketing activity and communication to foreign sales partners under the agreement.

Answering a question, Gyulay said HUF 160 million would be spent on the renovation of Hungaroring's track this year, but the amount could change.
