Hungarian air traffic control company HungaroControl said it will get almost €6 million of a total of €500 million of funding from the European Commission allocated under the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T) program, which supports the establishment of missing transport links and the elimination of bottlenecks in member states.
HungaroControl will get €5.96 million, which it will put towards the construction of an HUF 11 billion air traffic control centre. The new centre is expected to be completed in 2012.
HungaroControl will use its old air traffic control centre as a training facility when the new one is completed. (MTI-ECONEWS)
