Waste generated by Hungarian companies has fallen 15%-20% as output dropped because of the crisis, business daily Napi Gazdaság reported.
Waste collection companies in Győr, where Audi Hungaria, one of Hungary's biggest exporters, is based, told the paper waste generated by companies has dropped more than 10%. A similar decline was reported by waste collection companies in Pécs, home to multinationals such as Finnish electronics maker Elcoteq. Waste generated by companies operating in other Hungarian cities, such as Szombathely and Veszprem has fallen as much as 50% for some industries. (MTI – Econews)
