Hungarian cheese maker Sajt-Kalmar aims to raise revenue to HUF 5 billion in 2011

Hungarian cheese maker Sajt-Kalmar plans to boost revenue to HUF 5 billion this year from HUF 4.1 billion in 2010, managing director Tamas Spisak said at a professional meeting on Monday.

Sajt-Kalmar's profit is set to rise to almost HUF 100m this year from HUF 70 million in 2010, Spisak said.

Sajt-Kalmar sells about 90% of its cheese made from cow's and sheep's milk in Hungarian stores. The rest is sold in Slovakia and Romania, but the company also wants to raise the profile of Hungarian cheeses on the Russian market.

Participating at the meeting in Nadudvar (E Hungary) were Russia's trade representative in Hungary, the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the CIS Business Club and the local government of Hajdu-Bihari.
