Hungarian agribusiness Pannónia Mezőgazdasági on Friday inaugurated a HUF 1 billion biogas plant at its base in Bonyhád (SW Hungary). Pannonia won about HUF 800 million in European Union support for the construction of the plant as well as for improvements to the company's dairy farm, said CEO Miklós Friebert. The plant has a capacity to generate 628kWh of electricity, which it will sell to E.ON. The plant's 680kWh of heat energy will be used at Pannonia's base. (MTI-Econews)
