HUF 8.6 bln sewage system development project

Municipalities of Székesfehérvár, Patka, Pákozd and Seregélyes in western Hungary are making a joint effort to upgrade their sewage system in EU-back HUF 8.57 billion development. The New Hungary Development Plan's Environment and Energy Operative Program will provide HUF 6.43 billion for the project, including HUF 5.47 billion from EU funds and HUF 960 million from the central budget. HUF 2.14 billion will be earmarked by the municipalities and the households concerned. The project will be carried out by KSZ 2010 Konzorcium, which won a public-procurement tender with a bid of HUF 7.8 billion. Work on the project will begin in March and is scheduled to be completed by October 31, 2012. (BBJ)
