Heineken Hungária sees premium products lifting revenue

Brewer Heineken Hungária targets revenue growth of 4%-5% in 2010 after an increase of under 1% in 2009, CEO Michiel Egeler told MTI on Tuesday.

Heineken Hungária had net revenue of HUF 47 billion in 2009.

Sales volume fell 6% to 1,993,000 hectoliters in 2009, slightly less than the 8% drop for the industry as a whole in Hungary.

This year, sales volume is expected to remain level, but revenue will rise on the increased share of premium products, Egeler said.

Heineken Hungária's market share rose to 29.4% in 2009 from 28.5% in 2008.

Heineken Hungária plans to spend several hundred million forints on sales incentives this year, said sales director László Benedek. (MTI-ECONEWS)
