Hankook to double capacity at Hungary plant in 2011

South Korean tyre-maker Hankook said on Tuesday that it planned to double capacity at its plant in Hungary, creating an extra 450 skilled jobs this year and another 250 in 2011.

The company has started a training course in cooperation with the local vocational college in Rácalmás, the factory's location, near Budapest.

Hankook chose Hungary as to site its €550-million European plant in 2007. Currently, 1,270 employees produce more than 15,000 different types of tyre a day. (MTI)
