Hungarian industrial group Hajdu targets consolidated revenue of HUF 12.3bn in 2012, up from HUF 11.4bn in 2011, CEO of Hajdu Hajdusagi Ipari Istvan Novotni told MTI.
Hajdu Hajdusagi Ipari, which makes hot water boilers, household appliances and renewable energy products, expects revenue to edge up 5% in 2012, Mr Novotni said.
He said Hajdu’s share of Hungary’s hot water boiler market was close to 70%, according to a gauge by an independent market researcher. He added that renewable energy products played a big role in the company’s strategy, while domestic sales of conventional products are seen stagnating or falling.
Hajdu sees exports, mainly of renewable energy products, growing both to markets in the East and the West.
Revenue at Hajdu’s automotive industry supplier Hajdu Autotechnika Ipari is set to rise 10% this year, Mr Novotni said. He added that the unit had started two big projects in 2011, making investments in the area of truck parts and launching production of drum brakes for BMW.
Hajdu’s infrastructure unit will continue its activities in the area of energy saving investments.
