The Competition Office (GVH) fined Coca-Cola Beverages (Hungary) Kft Ft 10 million for misleading customers in an ad for its mineral water brand, Naturaqua.
The office fined the local unit of the US company for potentially deceiving customers on which Hungarian region the water originated from and where it's bottled, the office said in an e-mailed statement today. The ad claimed Naturaqua was from the Balaton region, but it is actually produced and bottled in Zalaszentgrót in west Hungary.
