IT company Grepton Rt had pre-tax profit of Ft 250 million and revenue of Ft 2.718 billion in 2005, up 72% and 40%, respectively, from a year earlier, CEO István Juhász said at a press conference on Wednesday.
In 2006, Grepton expects pre-tax profit and revenue to remain unchanged from 2005, considering the state of the market. Grepton has a stock of orders worth Ft 1.6 billion, including Ft 850 million for services. In 2005, services generated revenue of Ft 1.5 billion and product sales brought in Ft 1.2 billion, including software sales of Ft 1 billion.
Juhász noted that Microsoft had not extended its sales contract with the Grepton. Because of this, the company will focus on the sales of Oracle products. Grepton sold Microsoft products worth Ft 700 million in 2005.
Grepton aims to boost its public sector sales and hardware sales in 2006. It is also developing its IT security division and expects its secure signature and invoicing segment, which it started after acquiring Kopint Datorg's electronic signature product MultiSigno in April 2006, to continue growth. Grepton has taken over Kopint Datorg's five-member team to develop and distribute the product. Juhász would disclose neither the purchase price for the product, nor the amount Grepton plans to invest in the segment.
