Hungary's government wants to declare administrative procedures related to investments by German carmaker Daimler and Japanese tyre maker Bridgestone of "special significance", making the procedures faster and smoother, according to a plan published on the government's website.
Daimler inaugurated an €800 million plant in Kecskemét last March. The plant will add a new model to its production palette in the spring. Bridgestone said in October that it decided on a €267 million capacity expansion at its base in Tatabánya. The expansion is expected to be completed in the first half of 2017.
