Government to appoint commissioner to oversee public transport restructuring

János Főnagy will be appointed government commissioner in charge of restructuring public transport in Hungary for a year from May 1, the Government Spokesman's Office said on Friday.

Főnagy will be involved with the modernisation of tasks related to real estate, a review of the institutional structure of public transport and a restructuring of the tariff and discount system. He will participate in the harmonisation of timetables and play a role in establishing conditions for Hungarian suppliers to meet the needs of the public transport sector.
