Austrian logistics company Gebrüder Weiss wants to establish a new base in the Hungarian city of Mosonmagyaróvár in 2011, board member Heinz Senger-Weiss said at a press conference on Friday.
Establishing the base would create 26 jobs, Senger-Weiss said. Currently, Gebrüder Weiss's unit employs 218 people, he added.
Gebrüder Weiss's Hungarian unit had revenue of HUF 8.7 billion in 2009, down 15% from 2008. This year, the unit's revenue is expected to grow, he said.
Regional director for Eastern Europe Jürgen Bauer said an important goal in 2010 was to bring the time for deliveries from Hungary to any destination in Germany under 48 hours. (MTI-ECONEWS)
