Austrian brick and tile maker Tondach's unit in Hungary lost more than HUF 66 million in production when gas restrictions forced it to shut down its plants for two and a half days in January, local daily Békés Megyei Hírlap reported.
Tondach was forced to shut down production at all five of its plants in Hungary because of the restrictions, which were introduced after gas deliveries via Ukraine were halted because of a price row between Moscow and Kiev.
Tondach Magyarország has asked regional gas supplier Egaz-Degaz for compensation, CEO Aladár Kató told the paper. (MTI – Econews)
