Taiwanese-owned cell phone parts manufacturer Foxconn Hungary Kft has announced it will close its factory in Pécs, south Hungary, within three months, and move production to its plant in Komárom, northwest Hungary, to increase efficiency. The 100-strong workforce has been offered jobs at Foxconn\'s factory in Komárom, and many of them have showed an interest in moving. However, some of the skilled workers are likely to be employed by Elcoteq, a Finnish electronics company, which has a factory in Pécs. Just recently, the Taiwanese company laid off 10% of its staff in Komárom.
