Főmterv-Unitef consortium wins metro station tenders

A consortium of engineering design companies Főmterv Rt and Unitef Rt has won a bid to plan three stations along Budapest's planned fourth underground line with a bid of Ft 629.7 million, excluding VAT; and a consortium led by Közlekedés Kft has won bid to plan another three stations along the line with a bid of Ft 397.5 million, according to an announcement in the Public Procurement Gazette. The companies will draw up plans for the parts of the stations above ground, obtain the permits necessary for construction and prepare tender plans for the stations' construction. The Főmterv-Unitef consortium will plan stations at Fővám tér, Kálvin tér and Gellért tér. The consortium will hire subcontractors for 43% of the value of the project or Ft 275 million. The Közlekedés-led consortium will plan stations at Rákóczi tér, Népszínház utca and the Keleti railway station. Subcontractors will carry out work worth 30% of the contract or Ft 122 million.
