Flextronics hires 900 new workers

The Singapore-based electronics company Flextronics has hired 900 new employees at its plant in Zalaegerszeg, the newspaper Zalai Hírlap reported on Friday.

The company hired the new workers as a result of a recent increase in orders, notably for a new generation mobile telephone.

Flextronics currently employs 4,900 people at the plant, 1,000 more than at the beginning of the summer.

The company laid off nearly 1,000 workers at the beginning of 2009 but announced new hires late spring and the early summer. (MTI-ECONEWS)
