Troubled steel products company Finomhengermű Kft, which has been under liquidation for three weeks, will start operating again in the second half of April, business daily Napi Gazdaság reported on Tuesday.Renting the company would probably be the safest option for the time being, but, ultimately, the company should be sold, bailiff Zsolt Gulyik said. Already, six companies have expressed interest in buying Finomhengermű, he added. The company, which has debts of Ft 1.5 billion-Ft 2 billion, shut down in December 2005. Since then, its 370 employees received Ft 120 million in unpaid wages from the state's wage guarantee fund.
Finomhengermű had revenue of Ft 3 billion in 2005, but has capacity to produce to produce an annual Ft 5 billion worth of products.
