The Hungarian-born film producer Andy Vajna is selling one of his casinos in Budapest to state lottery company Szerencsejáték for HUF 750 million, daily Népszabadság reported on Tuesday.
The board of Szerencsejáték is expected to approve the deal at a meeting on Tuesday, the paper said.
The Tropicana casino's operator racked up a HUF 176 million loss in 2009 as its revenue dropped from HUF 2.7 billion to HUF 2.1 billion.
Vajna's other casino in the capital, called Las Vegas, fell from HUF 4.0 billion to HUF 3.2 billion in 2009, but it still paid its owner a HUF 374 million dividend, the paper said. (MTI-ECONEWS)
