February net lending stock of Hungarian banks drops 4.8%, year-on-year

Net lending stock of commercial banks in Hungary edged down 0.7% to HUF 17,305 billion at the end of February from a month earlier, data published by financial market watchdog PSZAF show.

Net lending stock dropped 4.8% from twelve months earlier.

Corporate lending stock was HUF 5,803.9 billion and retail lending stock reached HUF 6,896 billion at the end of February.

Stock of deposits was HUF 11,417 billion at the end of February, up 0.3% from a month earlier but down 2.9% from twelve months earlier.

Net lending stock of bank branches operating in Hungary came to HUF 1,132 billion at the end of February, up 2.1% from the end of January and 13.2% more than twelve months earlier. Stock of deposits at bank branches reached HUF 757.9 billion at the end of February.
