Erste Bank Hungary chairman-CEO Edit Papp will leave her post from May 31, 2011, the bank told MTI.
Papp, who has headed the bank since 2007, is leaving to pursue other professional opportunities in Hungary, the bank said.
“Under Edit’s lead, Erste has weathered the financial crisis very successfully by adhering to and following through on its business strategy that strictly focuses on core activities – on customers and their needs,” said Andreas Treichl, CEO of parent Erste Group. “We fully respect and accept her decision now and wish her all the best for her professional and personal future,” he added.
