Egis CEO resigns, successor appointed

Hungarian drug company Egis has appointed current commercial director István Hódász to replace Mrs. Gál Péter as the company's CEO effective October 1, Egis announced on the website of the Budapest Stock Exchange on Wednesday.

Mrs. Gál Péter submitted her resignation at Egis' August 25 management meeting, citing personal reasons for her decision to step down as the company's CEO.

Mrs. Gál Péter will remain a member of the company's management.

Hódász previously worked for the UK drug company GlaxoSmithKline and the French drug company Sanofi-Aventis. (MTI-ECONEWS)
