Hungary's dry noodle market was worth a little more than HUF 26 billion in the twelve months to November, level with the previous twelve-month period, according to an analysis by market research company Nielsen.
In volume terms, about 52,000 tons of dried noodles are sold in Hungary each year. Noodles made with a ratio of four eggs per kilogram of flour account for about half of sales, both in value and volume terms.
The average price of dry noodles fell about HUF 6 to HUF 509 per kilogram in the twelve months to November as consumers bought cheaper house brands. (MTI-ECONEWS)
