DKG-EAST is building a new 5,000sqm assembly plant at a cost of close to HUF 600 million (€2.24 million) in Nagykanizsa, the local Regional Development Agency told MTI.
DKG-EAST has won EU-government funding from the Regional Operative Program, which will cover 30% of the investment costs. The company made a commitment to retain the existing 522 jobs and to hire another 20 employees after the investment has been completed.
DKG-EAST develops and makes products used in petroleum and natural-gas exploration, production, transport and processing.
The regional development agency also reported that HUF 41 million in new infrastructure developments had been started at the local industrial park, The Regional Operative Program will cover about 30% of the infrastructural developments started at the 5.2-hectare Nagykanizsa industrial park.
