DIY chain bauMax expects revenue to increase in Hungary

The Hungarian unit of Austrian home-improvement chain bauMax expects to generate an increase in revenue in 2010 after sustaining a 15%-18% decline in turnover this year, the unit's newly appointed CEO András Simonyi told the business daily Napi Gazdaság.

Simonyi declined to specify a specific figure with regard to bauMax's forecast rise in 2010 turnover, though said that the company expects to post higher-than-average market growth next year.

The CEO of bauMax's Hungarian unit noted that the company has recorded the sharpest decline in demand for construction materials and services this year. (MTI – Econews)
